Landscape Kerala

Music is a beauty that is everywhere……even in everything not directly related to music….thus this is my attempt to find the beauty and share with you all from my last trip to Kerala backwaters…..better known as God’s own Country….

In 2014, I went on an office trip to Kerala with some of my office colleagues. This was my first trip there. So one fine morning in November we landed in Kochi international airport after a rather turbulent flight through stormy weather….the journey started from the airport in a coach ride to our hotel..

Kerala backwaters are a chain of brackish lagoons and lakes lying parallel to the Arabian Sea coast (known as the Malabar Coast) of Kerala state in southern India. The network includes five large lakes linked by canals, both man made and natural, fed by 38 rivers, and extending virtually half the length of Kerala state. The backwaters were formed by the action of waves and shore currents creating low barrier islands across the mouths of the many rivers flowing down from the Western Ghats range.

For any traveller, the idea of staying on a houseboat or in several of the resorts and beautiful establishments in the lush green plantations over looking the lagoons is indeed a refreshing one…..and I was very excited to be a part of it…..

The beautiful Le Meridien Kochi…..

A relaxed look ….:)

Some beautiful sights of Kerala……..

The entire journey will take you through beautiful little rural villages and small towns through coconut plantations and the backwaters will be always there as your guiding light. My journey was definitely no doubt a refreshing break from the daily rat race of survival in the concrete jungles….:)…….Some music to end with for today …..

With love and lots of happiness……Anindo….
