Jesse Cook….a Master of Guitar…

I am very happy to write this post about a genius whom I admire very much, not just being a very talented guitarist from Canada, but also being a great human being. He is Jesse Cook and what he does with the guitar in his hand is pure magic…..though many in the classical guitar fraternity criticize him for being too much commercial, but whatever I have heard of his music, I can easily say he uses his talent to give enough music to people of all ages and all walks of life…….:)

Practicing in Prince George.jpg

Born in Paris, he moved to Canada with his mother after his parents’ divorce, and his mother seeing her son’s aptitude in guitar playing, enrolled him in Eli Kessner guitar academy in Toronto…..and thus the story started….:)

Just two beautiful examples of his mastery…….and there are so many of his brilliant gorgeous tracks….to share….

Cook eventually studied under Kassner, himself a student of the great maestro Andrés Segovia. While Cook was still a teenager, his father retired to the French city of Arles in the Camargue where his neighbor just happened to be Nicolas Reyes, lead singer of the flamenco group the Gipsy Kings. During frequent visits to Arles, Jesse Cook became increasingly fascinated by the “Camargue sound”, the rhythmic, flamenco-rumba approach that could be heard on many corners and cafés in the “gipsy barrio”.[Info coutesy Wikipedia].

And this is another of his brilliant jamming sessions with the ToneWoodAmp guitar….

Silent Night in his hands sound heavenly….

Ending today with ‘Shake’ and ‘Once’…….

Hope you all will enjoy these beautiful pieces of music as much as I enjoy sharing them with you all….Jesse is already a Master in his art……will appreciate your views and comments….kindly tag me or Jesse Cook….:)

With Love………
