It’s diary time once again :). After the last one I wrote in July, one significant change has happened in my daily routine. I got secured a new position in a new firm as a Senior Banking Consultant. And that has made my week days busy again after those long lock down holidays. That’s why today after almost a month since I penned the last one, I have got some time to write about these past few days.
Started the second part of July by joining the new office. It’s almost an hour drive from my home. Located in the heart of the Information Technology sector having offices of various multinationals and big Fortune 500 companies, my third floor office in a high rise office building is my new destination every morning. Once again, after a long time, the morning rush has started.
In the last couple of weeks, it has been raining quite often here in Calcutta. Sometimes, the rains are quite heavy with thunderstorms, and the heavy rains are forcing many city streets to get water logged. And you can easily imagine, how difficult and challenging office commuting becomes in that. I have been basically dragging the water into the office, and vice versa back home. :):)
One good thing about rains despite all the challenges it poses before us, is, how fresh the greenery around us becomes after rains. And that to me is a great gift of nature to all of us. Green cover made fresh by rains, surely is a perfect stress buster for me, even when I look at the indoor plants I have on my windows.I am happy to see my plants having new leaves in these last few days. We must bring back as much greenery we can, since that is the best and the most easiest way to purify the air around us :).
Have been wanting to see a movie in the big screen after a long time since last year when the world came to a standstill due to the pandemic. But, no immediate hopes in sight for that wish, even though I am hearing that movie halls are going to open up soon here in the city. My last best watch was the television series ‘Devs‘ on which I have penned a post before :). Quite anxious and waiting to see the latest Bond flick starring Daniel Craig. Heard that this is gonna be his last. Is it true ? 🙂
Apart from the new start in the work scene, August month has got me busy in the blogging world since I decided to participate in the Blogchatter’s Half Marathon, where 10 blog posts will have to be written in 15 days, i.e., the first quarter of this month. And also there are so many great blog posts to be read in this campaign from fellow bloggers. This is my second time participating in this campaign, and it is surely keeping me busy :). And this will continue.
Finding out little moments of joy and happiness has always been a very intrinsic characteristic of mine in leading my days. And these little moments often come in disguises. In some new or old song, a nice thriller on the tele, an old book or a new one, some old and new friendships to kindle, some real tasty food or just some nice cups of tea or coffee, all of these and so many else keeps me glued to life. Even doing these diary entries. Would love to know about your last few days or weeks, what you have been doing, or what you have experienced, what’s keeping you busy these days and anything else you might want to share. Do write in the comments below. 🙂
Will leave you with some music. 🙂 Till the next one, stay safe, stay happy.
